Join Cog•nate Collective in activating their new installation, ¡Animo! (Abre Caminos / Let Us Shift) Candle, 2026. For the installation, the artists have created a series of custom votive candles that conjure resistance and evoke the power to transform systems of injustice.

From 1:30–2:45 p.m., participants are invited to gather with the artists for a hands-on workshop to prepare and intervene upon the candles. After a brief break, participants will reconvene at 3 p.m. to light the candles in a collective ritual performance.

The candles will remain lit throughout the afternoon and evening, including during dinner and the exhibition walkthrough, extending the collective action into the larger program.

Participation is free, but space is limited. No previous experience is required.
